Best Tablets to buy in 2024

Note: The list is based on different usage criteria not on performace alone. I have divided the tablets into different categories and picked the most optimal tablets in that segment. And all the tablets mentioned in this list are wifi versions. I don't consider paying 10K extra just for a 5G version. You can buy a 5G phone for less than that amount and use it as a hotspot plus an extra phone for emergency.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite

This tablet is best for notes taking and studying for students in schools and colleges. It comes with S-pen in the box and pre-installed Samsung Notes apps which is one of the best note taking app on Android. The Samsung Notes app is only available on Samsung devices and its free to use. In Samsung Notes you can copy paste any text file, links, websites for reference, highlight pdfs, add audio notes, convert speech into text, etc. For more RAM and space you can consider Tab S9FE. I have been using Samsung Notes for 4 years now and I can assure you there's no other notes taking app which can replace it right now in terms of features except Goodnotes which is a paid app. There's no other competitor for this tablet in terms of price, features and segment.

This tablet is best for entertainment as it comes with a massive 12.7 inch 3K resolution display. Although its a bit heavy due to its size you dont have to worry about carrying it for watching videos because you can't it even hold it completely with your hands. You'd have to buy a cover that comes with a stand to watch videos on a flat surface. It is mostly for home use and watching videos for learning and entertainment. It comes with stylus in the box but you have to charge it via cable. Levono also provides its notes taking app but its not as good as Samsung Notes so you have to install a third party app to use most of the pen featues.

This is the 2nd best tablet in entertainment segment plus notes taking. It has all the features of Tab S6 Lite and just like Lenovo P12 its a bit heavy due to its size so you'd have to buy a cover with stand. It is both for note taking and watching videos for learning and entertainment. It comes with stylus in the box which unfortunately is not bluetooth activated so it doesnt even require charging. You can use S-Pen to take notes, screenshots, screen writing, live message, etc. And since its a big display you can use this Tab on always Dex mode you dont even need an external display.

This is the best portable tablet for day to day use. You can carry it in your bag or purse. It gives you very good backup. This is not a very high performing tablet but you can play mid range games on this without any lag issue. There is no stylus support on this tablet so don't even think about using it for notes. Samsung A9+, Lenovo M11 and OnePlus Pad Go are its other competitors but they don't give you as much features at this price.

You have to download Goodnotes to use all stylus features. OnePlus Pad is its other competitor but its not worth the extra money.

You have to download Goodnotes to use all stylus features. The price of this tablet is very high for just one good feature.

There are also lots of AI features in this tablet such as AI photo editing like S24 Ultra and Samsung Notes AI summarization. It also supports wireless Samsung Dex feature. You can use this tablet as a mini PC or you can connect it with an external display via wifi and turn it into a workplace. The 35K price is only available on Flipkart.

It supports an active stylus with wireless charging that does not come with the box. Taking notes in this tablet is as cool as Samsung Notes. Editing and rendering in this tablet is way faster than the rest. This tablet is mostly recommended for artists who want to draw or edit videos on the go.

This one is a beast in terms of power and performance. Its the best overall tablet in everything but its also way too expensive. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are a very rich person or an artist who's looking for a mobile studio. This tablet has all the features you don't even need. For entertainment you can consider the 13 inch version which will increase the cost obviously. It has THE most powerful processor in any tablet with its monstrous 4.4GHz processor. Its not even a tablet at this point, its a full fledged PC. Even the PC I am writing this blog on doesnt have a 4.4Ghz processor. This tablet is not competing with other tablets in the market its competing with laptops. It supports an active stylus with wireless charging and gyroscopic writing but that does not come with the box. The Apple Pencil Pro is only supported on this tablet not on 2022 model.

Advice: Do not buy any of these tablets if you don't see the exact price. The price I listed is based on credit card discount during festival season. Wait for the offer to save 5-10K. And consider buying from the link I provided.
